About the role
Find a Job Abroad That Suits You
An open application is ideal for those who want to work abroad but don't want to limit themselves to a single job or country. You register your profile, state what you're looking for, and can then be contacted when a suitable position becomes available.
We collaborate with international employers seeking Swedish-speaking staff. There are jobs for those lacking previous experience as well as more advanced roles for those who have already worked in areas such as customer service, sales, administration, or technical support.
When submitting your application, you can specify the countries you're interested in, your start date availability, and the types of tasks that suit you. The recruitment team uses this information to assess which opportunities are relevant to your profile.
Different Types of Jobs
Swedish-speaking candidates are in demand across several industries. Common positions include:
- Customer service via phone, chat, and email
- Technical support
- Sales and appointment booking
- Account management
- Content moderation and review
- Administration and back office
- Live casino and live dealer
- Hotel, reception, and tourism
- Digital services and e-commerce
Some positions require no prior experience. In these cases, the employer typically offers an introduction and paid training. Other roles may require relevant work experience, education, or specific skills.
There may also be projects linked to well-known international brands in fields such as technology, music, and social media. Examples of brands that have been part of recruitment projects include Spotify, Microsoft, and Pinterest. You will always receive clear information about the employer and the project before proceeding.
Destinations Across Europe
Many of the jobs are located in Spain, Malta, Portugal, and Greece. Opportunities may also exist in countries like Ireland, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, and other European nations.
Spain is suitable for those who want to combine an international work environment with an active city life and proximity to coasts and beaches. Malta hosts many international companies in digital services, support, and iGaming, with English widely used both at work and in daily life.
Portugal has numerous international service centers, particularly in Lisbon, while Greece offers Swedish-speaking positions in support, sales, and customer service, among others. The available countries and cities change on an ongoing basis.
Salary and Benefits
The salary depends on the position, employer, destination, and prior experience. Some jobs offer a fixed monthly salary, while others include performance bonuses, commission, language supplements, or compensation for evening and night work.
Other benefits may include:
- Paid introduction and training
- Performance bonus or language supplement
- Team activities and company events
- Language courses
- Sports and recreational activities
- Private health insurance
- Meal vouchers or other local benefits
Some projects might include activities like surfing or kitesurfing lessons. Benefits vary between employers and are presented before you accept an offer.
Relocation Package and Housing Assistance
Many employers offer support to make the relocation process smoother. The type of assistance included varies between different positions.
A relocation package may include:
- Paid flight ticket or travel reimbursement
- Airport pickup
- Temporary accommodation
- Help finding permanent housing
- Relocation bonus
- Assistance with local documents and registrations
- Contribution towards an annual trip home
Not all positions include a complete relocation package. You will therefore receive clear information about what is actually included in the service you are offered.
Support Throughout the Process
After submitting your application, a recruiter will review your profile. If a relevant position exists, you will be contacted for an initial conversation to discuss your preferences, experience, and availability.
You will receive information about the job duties, destination, salary, working hours, and key terms. If the position suits you, your CV may be forwarded to the employer.
The recruitment team will help you prepare for the interview and answer questions about the process. Support may also continue after you receive the job offer, for example, by providing information about travel, accommodation, and what needs to be arranged before you move.
The Recruitment Process
1. Submit Your Application
Fill out the form, specify your desired destinations, and upload your CV. For many positions, the CV needs to be in English.
2. Speak with a Recruiter
If there's a potential match, you'll be contacted for an initial conversation. The recruiter will provide more details about the position and ask about your motivation and availability.
3. Your Profile is Assessed
After the conversation, the recruiter will assess if the position is a good fit for you. If you wish to proceed, your details can be sent to the employer.
4. Interview with the Employer
The next step is usually a phone or video interview. The interview is often conducted entirely or partially in English and focuses on your motivation, experience, and communication skills.
5. Job Offer
If the interview is successful, you may receive an offer detailing salary, contract, start date, working hours, and any relocation benefits.
6. Prepare for Relocation
Once you've accepted the offer, you'll receive information about travel, accommodation, onboarding, and any documents you need to arrange before you start.
Experiences from Previous Candidates
Previous candidates have relocated to cities including Athens, Lisbon, Budapest, Cork, Prague, and Paris. Many describe appreciating the personal contact, quick responses, and assistance before interviews.
Several candidates have also highlighted that recruiters listened to their preferences and helped them find alternative opportunities when the initial position wasn't the right fit. An open application doesn't guarantee a job, but it can give you access to more positions and professional support throughout the process.
Who Can Apply?
The open application is suitable for individuals who are at least 18 years old, speak Swedish fluently, and can communicate in English. For most positions, you need to have EU/EEA citizenship or another valid right to work in the country.
You don't always need a degree or prior work experience. However, you must be motivated to relocate, able to participate in interviews, and available during the period required by the employer.
Most positions are full-time and may require you to stay in the country for at least six or twelve months. Shorter contracts and part-time work may exist but are less common.
Take the First Step Towards a Job Abroad

Life Abroad
Working abroad means embracing both a new job and a new daily life. You'll have the opportunity to meet people from various countries, use English at work, and build international experience.
In destinations like Spain, Malta, Portugal, and Greece, you can combine work with an active social life, a warmer climate, and proximity to beaches, restaurants, and cultural experiences. Many international workplaces hire multiple individuals from different countries simultaneously, which can make it easier to quickly find new friends.
Lisbon, for example, is a city where international work life blends with historic neighborhoods, local cafes, viewpoints, and seaside access. In Malta, distances are short, and English is widely spoken, while Athens offers both big-city life, history, and the chance to explore beaches and islands on your days off.
However, moving abroad is not a vacation. You'll need to adapt to new routines, manage your finances, and find long-term accommodation. With realistic expectations and the right support, the experience can foster greater independence, improve language skills, and build an international network.
